Since the laws changed in January 2019, all applications now have to go through the Danish Agency of Family law office, or the Familieretshuset, via an electronic file and application - which we do for you with the Everything service.

For all weddings you leave straight away with 2 copies of your International Marriage Certificate (example document here) - which is in Danish, German, French, Spanish & English (we can also request extra copies at no extra cost if you require them!).

If I could rate Marry Abroad Simply more than 5 stars I would! Like many long distance couples, when COVID struck, my now-husband and I were separated indefinitely from each other. We decided to get married so I (an American) could move over to Ireland to be with him. After rounds of paperwork we were still unable to get married in a reasonable timeframe in Germany because we are both from third countries that are doing awful with corona and not from the EU. This makes it almost impossible to be together or marry. After a friend had a quick, easy, and wonderful experience with this company we decided to give it a try. Leanne was very patient with us and helped us look into many options before we found one that would work. She offered solutions and was always available whenever we needed her. The location we went to, Stevns Denmark, was super quaint and beautiful, and traveling 5 minutes to the seaside was well worth it. We were greeted on a Saturday by the mayor herself who married us. They were so hospitable and welcoming at Stevns and gave us a special gift from their town! The ceremony was meaningful but also very fast, 10 minutes in total. As an aside I do recommend double checking all paperwork received immediately after the ceremony. We were just feeling good and taking pictures and then noticed our paperwork was incorrect for our personal information on the certificate. We managed to track down the mayor at another ceremony and they were quite helpful, fixing our paperwork for us on a Saturday for which we were grateful. Overall this was an amazing and wonderful experience filled with solutions to any of our problems that came up or any hurdles we had been trying to manage. If you are having difficulties getting married or wish to do so without any fuss, this is the right agency for you!

I highly recommend hiring Marry Abroad Simply from the start, don't bother trying to get the approval from Danish family Law on your own as they are slow and unresponsive. Leanne took over for us as we had already applied to the family law office and were not getting anywhere, she had our wedding approved in a matter of days! Worth the money if you are seeking a quick approval. She also booked the venue for us.

I came across Married Abroad Simply when our wedding in Jamaica got cancelled. We needed to get married quick and within 2 weeks of first contact we were on a beautiful island off Denmark tying the knot. After our initial inquiry about a wedding we received a quick response with plenty of advice. Once we decided to go ahead with the wedding, absolutely everything was covered from the extensive paperwork, visa applications, witnesses and booking the venue for our wedding day - everything ran smoothly. We loved that Married Abroad Simply took care of absolutely everything, meaning we could just book our flights, hotels, turn up and get married. We tasked Married Abroad Simply with what we thought was an impossible task of getting us married in such short notice and they smashed it! Considering we had spent well over a year planning our Caribbean wedding myself and my new wife both agree we wish we had just done it this way from the beginning. We chose to get married on Fano island a 10-minute boat ride from Esbjerg. Esbjerg was extremely easy and cheap to get to by bus from Copenhagen. We arrived on Fano and it was beautiful. The town hall really was the perfect venue for us, and the registrar and witnesses provided made us feel welcome and gave us a wonderful service. It really was the most magical day which was stress free and so relaxed thanks to Married Abroad Simply. Nothing was ever too much to ask for, and questions were always answered super fast. Thank you Married Abroad Simply for all your hard work, help and time – we will forever be grateful. Anybody thinking about getting married abroad, get in touch – you won’t regret it!
